Essence Immersion Tribe - My Importance

My new found friend and Artist Mentor is Lauri Cox who put together this "tribe" of women to celebrate who we are. She chose enlightened and talented women to share their stories with us through eight inspiring sessions. I enjoyed it whether I was there in person or listening to the recorded calls after. She is planning a retreat for this fall. One assignment was to journal "Why I am Important" Here is what I came up with: I get that what I do affect the world. I recently heard someone say we are breathing the same air that Christ breathed. We are connected! I am constantly sending out vibrations that will either uplift and inspire, or drag down. I need to move to a higher plane in all areas of my life for my sake and others. I am like a warrior, standing ready to move forward into battle as necessary to provide freedom for myself and others who choose to follow. Perhaps this metaphor comes to me from genetic influence. One of my ancestors was Boudicca (pronounced Boo-Dicca_, Queen of the Icenes. She led a revolt against the Romans who were invading Briton, her homeland. She was successful in destroying three of the settlements and then lost the final confrontation with Roman Soldiers. Like Boudicca, I battle. The battle I face is one of wits and spirit. Claiming the power of the almighty, I stand with God as one of his chosen daughters, to conquer darker forces as I move into the light. I see that as I conquer my own demons, I shatter old beliefs that no longer serve me. This consciousness spreads to others, like the "butterfly wing" effect, and creates movement. I have noticed recently, that as I teach the same material over and over in my classes, the ones I teach now are grasping the concepts very quickly. That information is already out there, in our larger social consciousness, and is available for those wanting to wake up and hear. Some come to my classes already knowing, trusting, practicing. Those who listen to that still small voice, find themselves absorbing information and transforming the way they think. I recently watched a documentary called "Wake Up", about a man who suddenly could see into the spirit world and his quest to understand his purpose and to know God. It was great! I also liked the film "I Am", which reminds us we are all connected. It only takes one person to make a difference, and to lead others to do the same. Courageous people in the history of our country have stood up for their rights, like Rosa Parks, who on Dec 1, 1955, refused to give up her seat on the bus to a white man. Perhaps lesser known, is Claudette Colvin, a 15 year-old African American student who did the same thing nine months earlier. Several movies are coming out this year about the Civil Rights movement. I especially enjoyed seeing "42" about Jackie Robinson. It was a moving testimonial of how one man (Branch Rickey, owner of the team) and another (Jackie Robinson) made a difference! Many people are driven to promote brotherhood and Peace. I choose to be a part of that consciousness, to spread and promote it. I feel the love moving through me. I connect with people around the world I have not yet met in person. "Kindred Spirits" As I continue to raise my vibrational frequency, I not only influence others to do the same, but I am drawn to the light of others who support me in my journey to wholeness. We recognize each other , or at least the qualities in each other we aspire to. That is true greatness to let one' light shine to inspire and uplift. That is why I am important!

Change is Inevitable

Whether we invite change into our lives or not, it will happen. Life is not static, but sometimes we like it that way. We get comfortable with the way things are. As creatures of habit, we get into routines. Maybe our routines are helpful and direct us the way we want to go, helping us develop into who we want to be. Other times, we may get into habits that take us away from our true potential or are even destructive to ourselves or others we love and care for. Why do we do the things we do? Why do we say the things we do? How do we change for the better? If I get to choose the change, will it be a subtle and healthy change or must it be rapid and disconcerting to my system? Sometimes our bodies say, "enough is enough" and through dis-ease, get our attention on what is needed to make necessary changes in life style, and thought patterns. Other times it may be another force outside of ourselves, like an intervention, or a court of law. Why not start with a subtle but powerful way to get to the root of your behaviors and thought patterns? A session with me gets to the deep internal issues that run our inner programs. Do you want to be happier and lead a fulfilling life that allows you to develop into who you were meant to be - your most magnificent self? Do you want that? If not, don't call or text me at 801.918.9437. Expect subtle but profound change from the inside out. One modality that I both practice and teach is Thetahealing. Perception & Perspective

It depends on where you stand. Wikipedia explains the Rashomon effect:

The Rashomon effect is the effect of the subjectivity of perception on recollection, by which observers of an event are able to produce substantially different but equally plausible accounts of it. A useful demonstration of this principle in scientific understanding can be found in the article "The Rashomon Effect: When Ethnographers Disagree," by Karl G. Heider (American Anthropologist, March 1988, Vol. 90 No. 1, pp. 73-81).

It is named for Akira Kurosawa's film Rashomon, in which a crime witnessed by four individuals is described in four mutually contradictory ways.

I emphasize that remembered events of the past are from a singular perspective, that is, "his-story", and by re-viewing an event of the past from varying angles and perspectives, a person can learn to look at a situation with a more positive feeling, keep the positive learning's and let go of the negative feeling(s) associated with the event. I assist clients using anchoring. I call it Memory Cleanse. Why is this so important and of value? Because our stuff from the past can come back to haunt us when we least expect it. Triggers in our environment and from other people set us off. Why not create new neural pathways that work for you rather than against you. See me for consultation. Text or call 801.918.9437. In Person, Phone, or Skype sessions available.

Humor is good medicine! When I was a young girl I loved to watch The Carol Burnett show. Last week I meantioned the song ABC from the Jackson five. For some reason that song was stuck in my mind. Then I found this video on you tube which combined the song with Carol Burnette! Fun and Funny! Watch! Enjoy!

NLP

Valentines Day is approaching and you may have some things that weigh heavy on your heart or you may be feeling great and secure in your relationship(s). Relationships take a lot of work. No two people think and feel in the same way. The way you feel loved and appreciated may be way different. Let's say you are more visual in your processing, then you may want to SEE how someone cares, like a bouquet of flowers, or a note of appreciation, or a big smile. If you are kinesthetic, then a hug would be in order. For auditory people, the words are what counts. They want to hear, "I love you". For more information on the different processing forms click HERE. I googled VAK processing to find it.

Organic or Conventional?

Wondering whether to get the great deal on conventional oranges or shop organic? Some sites I googled said that pesticides on oranges are on the skin. If so, no worries, right? www.whatsonmyfood.org is a great site that lists potential pesticides for various foods.
They compare imported to domestic (U.S. grown). The trouble is, How do I know where Kroger or Western Family or Quaker gets there oats from originally? Who are the growers? How Do I find that out? I am using my new Norwalk Juicer (new to me, I bought it use) to make green, carrot, orange and grapefruit juices so far. I am doing a modified version of the Gerson Therapy to help me heal from a mild form of ulcerative colitis. I don't know if there is a cure (Gerson claims cures of those who follow their protocol). I do believe in miracles. I have been relatively free of symptoms for years, but October of 2012 I started having problems with bleeding, mucus and pain, again. IT IS NOT FUN for anyone who has this condition. Just when you think you have figured out how to stay symptom free, it creeps back! The Gerson Diet should do the trick if I can just stay on it! I have not started the enema protocol yet. Got to order or buy locally some organic coffee grinds! I don't drink coffee, but this is supposed to help the liver detoxify. At this point, I am ready to try anything. The doctor ordered me some suppositories and my husband went up to the counter at Walgreen's Drug store to pay and the lady said, "$30". "Is that my portion", Kevin asked. "Yes, your insurance covered the rest. It is normally $700." $700!!! I about gagged! For a box of 30 suppositories! The pharmaceutical companies certainly have a racket. It should be illegal to charge such an exorbitant fee! I call it extortion! (using that term loosely * see below) Angry? Yes! So, I used the Dr. ordered suppositories for a week, with no results. Then I read another site that said it takes about a month to see results, so i will give them another try. I just have to remember to insert at night - maybe put an alarm on my phone. It could say, "UP YOURS!" Right? * from wikipedia: "The term extortion is often used metaphorically to refer to usury or to price-gouging, though neither is legally considered extortion. It is also often used loosely to refer to everyday situations where one person feels indebted against their will, to another, in order to receive an essential service or avoid legal consequences."
